Autogenous Specialty Vaccines

MVP Laboratories excels in the production of safe and efficacious large animal bacterins and vaccines.

Through this experience, our staff has developed considerable expertise in the isolation and evaluation of pathogens for the production of Tailor-Made® autogenous vaccines for swine and cattle. It has in the process broadened our scope involving several other "minor" species.

MVP's scientists and technicians have the knowledge and experience to produce efficacious vaccines for horses, goats, sheep, captive deer and elk, dogs, and rabbits. We have even made autogenous vaccines for camels used in movie production and African gaur (for our local zoo).

Over the past 10 years, one of the most requested vaccines for sheep and goats has been Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis, the main cause of Caseous Lymphadenitis. We have also manufactured efficacious herd-specific vaccines for Campylobacter jejuni and Chlamydophila (Chlamydia) psittaci to prevent abortions and conception rate problems in sheep.

MVP has also produced autogenous "strangles" vaccine for horses and Pasteurella multocida and Arcanobacterium pyogenes bacterins for captive deer and elk.

One of our recent success stories has been the development of a Mycoplasma canis bacterin for canine kennel cough and pneumonia in puppies.

The knowledgeable and experienced staff at MVP Laboratories is always open for any challenges you may present to us. Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you have regarding the significance of any bacterial or viral isolations you may encounter as well as the feasibility of producing vaccine solutions for those organisms—no matter how unique they seem.
